My name is Hanna Jones, and I am a graduate transport planner working for the management, engineering, and development consultancy Mott MacDonald. Currently utilising my skills working on various projects, involving transport modelling, urban design, and business cases. I am originally from Denbigh, North Wales and proudly my first language is Welsh, which has opened various opportunities for me throughout my life and holds a strong part of my identity.
I am a recent graduate from the University of Liverpool, having accomplished a first class integrated master's degree in Town and Regional Planning. My proudest achievement in my university career is my undergraduate dissertation. My work won the RTPI’s North West Moss Madden Award in 2022, along with the University’s RTPI Book Prize. My research investigates how public spaces in Liverpool have historically and currently not been designed with women in mind, particularly focusing on pregnant women and new mothers.
