ILARIA FABBRI, architect and PhD, graduated with honours at the University of Ferrara, Department of Architecture, where also earned an international doctorate degree evaluated “excellent cum laude”; since 2014 she has been working as research assistant and project manager at Next City Lab, a research group at the Architecture Department in Ferrara that investigates the tight-knit relationship between communities, technology, and public spaces. She mainly deals with innovative urban services and design solutions promoting active living and healthy behaviours, but also investigates and got involved in urban regeneration processes, with a special focus on commercial trends, sport facilities and inclusion of people with disabilities.
In her practice-based research, Ilaria Fabbri has developed several patented prototypes of street objects and furniture tested by communities in real-world environments.
She is currently a temporary researcher at University of Camerino, School of Architecture and Design based in Ascoli Piceno.
