Dr Clare Hammell

Dr Clare Hammell is currently the Chief Medical Officcer and Deputy CEO of Mid Cheshire NHS Foundation Trust, an NHS acute and community services provider which is included in the national NHP programme. Clare graduated from the University of Liverpool and undertook postgraduate training in Anaesthesia and Intensive Care Medicine in the North West. She also holds an MBA from the University of Exeter.

Clare is supporting the Trusts NHP programme in the role of Clinical Planning lead. She has a keen interest in quality improvement and service transformation work and is particularly interested in the transformative ways in which clinical models can be redesigned to ensure sustainability and viable models of future care within District General Hospitals. She views the NHP programme as a huge opportunity to translate this into building the required infrastructure to support this vision.
